Hiking pins
Does collecting make you just as happy as hiking? Then set off on a hike to earn one of the Gesäuse hiking pins.
Put on your walking boots, get set, go!
There are 12 destinations in total, and you can earn three different hiking badges:
Gesäuse Beginner – 4 mountain huts – BRONZE hiking pin
Gesäuse Connoisseur – 8 mountain huts – SILVER hiking pin
Gesäuse Expert – 12 mountain huts – GOLD hiking pin
Paper hiking pass
You can collect your printed hiking pass from one of the mountain huts or at the Admont Information Office, and get a stamp at every hut you visit. Of course, once you’ve earned the bronze or silver badge, you can carry on hiking until you reach the gold one.
Digital hiking pass
Summitlynx is a digital mountain hut and route logbook that ensures you’ll never forget a summit or a route again – available worldwide and always with you! Download the Summitlynx app onto your mobile (available on the App Store and Google Play) and collect a digital stamp at every mountain hut. You don’t need an internet connection, but GPS must be switched on. The app also works offline. Once you’ve earned a hiking pin, you’ll receive your certificate straight to your smartphone and can collect your hiking pin from the Admont Information Office.
